Ingredients
Cottage Cheese Blend:
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 clove fresh garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon honey
Bruschetta Topping:
- 1 garden tomato, finely diced
- Fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
- Fresh herbs, to taste
- Himalayan salt, to taste
Accompaniments:
- French baguette, sliced and oven-grilled with olive oil
Steps
1
Prepare the Cottage Cheese Blend
- In a blender or food processor, combine the cottage cheese, minced garlic, and honey. Blend until smooth and creamy. Adjust the consistency with a splash of water if needed to achieve a creamy dip-like texture.
2
Prepare the Bruschetta Topping
- Dice the garden tomato into small, uniform pieces and transfer to a mixing bowl.
- Add the finely chopped basil leaves and other fresh herbs of your choice.
- Season with Himalayan salt to taste. Gently toss the mixture until all ingredients are evenly distributed. Set aside.
3
Assemble and Serve
- Transfer the blended cottage cheese mixture to a serving bowl, smoothing the top with a spoon or spatula.
- Spoon the prepared bruschetta topping over the cottage cheese blend, ensuring an even distribution of flavours.
- Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the French baguette into thin rounds and arrange them on a baking sheet.
- Lightly brush each baguette slice with olive oil and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes or until the baguette slices are golden brown and crisp.
- Arrange the warm, oven-grilled baguette slices around the cottage cheese bruschetta dip just before serving.
